What’s all the hype with families?

Family is essential for a successful Christian Community

It seems as though there has been quite a bit of focus on families in our society lately. I have noticed in the last 5 to 10 years that Las Vegas has shifted to a "Family Friendly" destination. Their degree of family friendliness may still be questionable to some. Here's a few more examples: Disney introduced a successful cruise line entirely focused on families, conference centers and hotels are working to make family events affordable, churches instituting small groups & a plethora of advertising directed toward families regarding vehicles, vacations, movies and more. I compared car maintenance to marriage maintenance in the yesterday's blog and would like to continue understanding some of obstacles and solutions to maintenance. I talked about riding my car tires down until the steel belts started to show, basically I refused to answer the question why maintain? Why do we put off investing sometimes?

I don't know about you, but I hate spending time or money on my car maintenance even though I know it is necessary. I don't like scheduling the time or spending the money so I put it off for as long as possible, sometimes until it becomes dangerous. As an example I didn't change my tires until the steel belts started to show through then realized how dangerous it was when driving my family in wet weather and losing control for just a slight moment.
