Follow through
Ahhh….the retreat is over & now your back to Church life as usual. Your probably hearing lots of good comments from the Couples who enjoyed the retreat, or you might not be hearing much at all. Your next steps will make sure that you get that valuable, much needed feedback & help you to move forward with your next event.

On-site Support
Well, you have made it to the retreat. The hard part is over right?! Yep, that’s what most of us think.
Promoting your Event
You have invested a lot into your event already, enlisting a team, choosing the theme, finding your location... Now its time to get couples signed up to attend the event. You need to be sure that as you promote your sharing the details of
who, what, when, & where, but also the values of getting away for
this kind of an event.

Choose a location
Choosing a location that will properly accommodate the retreat as well as provide the amenities needed to accompany this event is important. One thing is for sure, not all Retreat & Conference Centers are created equally!

Choosing a Theme
As with any other type of retreat, narrowing in on a specific theme for your marriage retreat will help to form the weekend.
The most successful marriage retreats today are those that not only bring in the biblical intent of marriage, but also address the issues couples are facing today – with a biblical approach. Identifying what your congregational needs are will help you to choose the theme that fits your retreat the best. Let your entire committee be involved in selecting the theme – they will need to incorporate this into each of their specific areas.
