Our team has recognized lately that churches are focusing their efforts toward Family Ministry throughout the regions served by Midwest Christian Retreat properties. Last week, I made my first trip to Michigan to visit Lost Valley Retreat Center and Faholo Conference Center where both facilities were hosting Family Events. What an amazing experience to see the intergenerational activities ranging from bicycling, riding go-carts, worshipping, swimming, and dining together.

It seems as if summer is coming at us faster than we want it to. So it is time to get out the Wii Fit or go for a run to try to be prepared for beach season, plus we’ve got to get the grill fired up, plan a trip to grandmas house, get the yard mowed, AND get the kids signed up for a camp or youth retreat.

At Midwest Christian Retreats we give thanks for our family and friends and for God's goodness to us everyday.  Following are a few of the comments from the team at Lake Williamson reflecting with thankful hearts.

We are blessed with many wonderful people at Lake Williamson Christian Center and the Midwest Christian Retreats property network.  Following are a few comments from our Maintenance and Housekeeping Department staff as we approach the Thanksgiving holiday.

I am thankful I found a loving wife. I have only had one and it will be 32 years this Thanksgiving Day. Thank Heaven!

Today, I stepped into the afternoon kids camp service.... There is nothing cooler than seeing a room FULL of children praising God! 700 children worshiping, it's hard to describe, but it is COOL!!!!!! We have been so encouraged by the stories of the great things God is doing this summer at Lake Williamson!
